Crossroads International Church, +31(0)20 545 14 44 Amstelveen 1187 XR

A dynamic Christian community that attracts people to Christ, helps them take their next steps in faith and equips them to serve God in the world.

The church was started in 1987 by a church planting team sent out by Christian Associates International, an American mission organisation based in Thousand Oaks, California. The team was led by the founder of the mission organisation, Dr. Linus Morris.

In 1989 the leadership of the church was handed over to a senior pastor, who was a missionary with Christian Associates. This person left in 1995 and Crossroads went through a number of transitions including two other senior pastors who led the church for one year and two years, respectively. In spite of the many transitions, Crossroads kept on growing and developing, both in numbers, outreach and maturity, experiencing God's purposes and plans for the church. From its inception in 1987 to today, Crossroads has always sought to reach out relevantly to the world in which it is situated.

In 2000, Brian Newman (American), who was formerly working in Europe with Christian Associates International, began serving in the role of senior pastor. In the period that followed Crossroads has grown in numbers, stability, and maturity.
In 2003, Crossroads bought a 283-square-metre (3,000 square foot) ministry centre in the centre of Amstelveen for office space, music rehearsals, a growing counselling ministry, and other weekly activities...

In 2005, Gerard Kelly (British) joined Crossroads in the role of senior pastor. He was formerly working with Spring Harvest, a multi-resort christian conference in the UK, ministering yearly to over 50000 visitors. Gerard Kelly is a gifted writer, speaker and theologian. During his leadership Crossroads moved from two gatherings each sunday to three identical worship gatherings.
